Open Position: Research Assistant or Research Associate Professor in Forest Management & the Bioeconomy

The Department of Forest Resources at the University of Minnesota invites qualified candidates to apply for a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure track Research Assistant Professor or Research Associate Professor position specializing in Forest Management and the Bioeconomy with responsibilities for research (75%) and teaching (25%). The successful candidate will establish a nationally-recognized research program that addresses the major issues associated with the sustainable management and utilization of forest resources. A priority focus will be research and analysis that increases the productivity, utilization, sustainability, climate solution potential, and economic contribution forests make to society. This research will be developed in collaboration with UMN faculty and scientists at St. Paul, Cloquet, and Grand Rapids, and with constituent groups and forest professionals at local, state, tribal, and federal agencies across the region. 

The position is in the Department of Forest Resources and located at the University of Minnesota’s Cloquet Forestry Center (CFC) near Cloquet, Minnesota. Application review will begin November 15, 2022.
