Forest Resources Professor Ingrid Schneider is part of a multidisciplinary team that will assess the potential for robotic monitoring of local water quality.
With 2023 Impact Goal funding from the Institute on the Environment, the team will develop a prototype by enhancing an autonomous underwater vehicle to measure physical, chemical, or biological indicators. They'll also create a user-friendly dashboard that can visualize the collected data and allow users to interact with the robot in near-real time.
