2025 UMN Arbor Day 2025

Wednesday, April 23, 12 - 3 p.m.

The Lawn, UMN-Twin Cities campus in St. Paul (Green space along Cleveland Ave. N. and between Carter and Buford Aves.)

UMN Arbor Day. April 23, 12 - 3 p.m. The Lawn, UMN-Twin Cities STP campus.

Come watch a tree planting job site in action as members of the Forestry Club, Tree Ascension Group (TAG), and Science and Engineering Student Board learn about tree planting best practices from UMN Landcare! Together, they'll  plant trees in one of the largest green spaces on the UMN-Twin Cities campus in St. Paul.

At time of planting, students from FNRM 4501-5501: Urban Forest Management, Managing Greenspaces for People will lead a class "bioblitz" activity to collect data about nearby trees. Students were trained in Landcare's standards to measure trees, and this data will be used by UMN Landcare to update their tree inventory and inform future management practices.

The Tree Ascension Group also will be hosting climbing opportunities that are open to all.

Come say hello, help plant, or practice your climbing skills!

This event is organized by UFOR Lab and UMN Landcare.
