Want to find your peers and explore your interests outside of the classroom? The Department of Forest Resources supports three student-run groups that current University of Minnesota undergraduates can join to further pursue their interests in forestry and the environment:
- University of Minnesota Forestry Club
The University of Minnesota Forestry Club & SAF Student Chapter was established in 1907 and is one of the oldest clubs in the College of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS). While most Club members are forestry or environmental science majors, students from any major are welcome to participate in Forestry Club. Email [email protected] for more information. - Tree Ascension Group (TAG)
The Tree Ascension Group (TAG) is a University of Minnesota student club dedicated to teaching people how to climb trees safely and responsibly. Whether you are an aspiring arborist, tree geek, or just enjoying learning the art of tree climbing, TAG has something for everyone. Email [email protected] for more information. - Environmental Student Association (ESA)
The Environmental Student Association (ESA) is a community focused on improving the environment we live in through collaboration, education, and outreach. Everyone is welcome at ESA, regardless of their level of knowledge or experience. Email [email protected] for more information.
Outside of these groups, undergraduates can find even more student-led groups and organizations by visiting the U's Join Groups and Meet People webpage.
