Biography

My goal is to develop science-based solutions to help protect northwoods ecosystems from climate change and its many associated disturbances, like wildfires, insect outbreaks, and invasive species. As a solutions-oriented ecologist, I study effective climate adaptation strategies and translate this complex conservation science to policymakers, industry, and the public.

Currently, I am leading a systematic review of all climate research in the Greater Quetico-Superior Ecosystem and developing a website that highlights research in the region, shows climate-adaptive management strategies, artistically portrays potential climate futures and impacts, and provides a hub for folks to access research.
